Emperador has a dark brown background with scattered fine and heavier white-beige veins.
Antico tiles are hand honed and then tumbled (or roll washed). The floor has the impression of a worn look as if it has been used for years and has a natural patina from the start.
Polished surfaces are machined with fine abrasives to give a reflective surface showing strong colours. The degree of polishing is determined by the mineral elements in the stone.
Note: This material has breakage lines; therefore with Emperador it is usual to stick loose pieces back together during production. Open veins will be filled. This procedure is not only unavoidable, but is a necessity to ensure that a reliable product is delivered. After installation it is possible that little open veins and small holes will appear. This penomenon is inherent to the structure of this material and cannot give rise to any complaints afterwards.
